Went to Upattinas Solstice Faire Saturday. That morning Scotty had looked out the window and noticed, "It's trying so hard to snow." After a half hour spent in that magical kingdom of a school, the snow started soft and sure. I wish I had time (just take it) like I did when i was a student. Rose made beautiful things out of feathers and flowers- I bought a headband and by the end of the day her table was almost empty.
Things to make over winter break:
Candelabra out of the salvaged wood from the opera, wire base covered with things (find a more lasting adhesive than glue, preferably one not flammable), with wire arms holding tealight candle holders (maybe cover the entire thing in wire).
Pants from Goodwill into shorts with scalloped edge or plain old skinny pants.
Dress from magazine with basic, form fitting shape and fabric ruching design all over (use dress form and line with buttons in back if the dress has no zipper)
Finish octopus lady, bird face, and tree box...
